Last summer I started on a path to get Paramedic License Plates introduced in the province and created some sample designs and sent them to Minister John Foran, Minister of Public Safety for consideration.

I have posted my letter, the samples and his reply here... http://nbmedics.com/plates/.

I would welcome your feedback on this after you have reviewed the material.

My preference for the License Plates was the one show below. What does everyone else think?

I am sure it won't be mandated! LOL

Like everything else, we are just trying to give medics a choice and options.

Have not heard from the minister in a few months but once the transition is over and the holidays. I will be contacting his office again to follow up on it.

I think it's a great Idea. Seeing that firefighters have plates as well, it would definately help in making us more visible to the public. Hopefully we can have some issues worked out first with translation from english to french first and get the goverment to accept Paramedic in both languages...

I like the idea of a picture only - covers all our bases. Maybe we need a new Universal Symbol for Paramedic? We could have a Star of Life with a Donut on the Boat overtop of the Snake...

I have no problem with the new ANB symbole, we are an agency of the Provincial goverment and as such should have the government logo and colors as part of our logo. The other government agencies do.

And for the record I do not drink Tim Horton's coffee or eat their pastries, even if I am fat enought to look as I do. Drink Tea and don't like sweets.

Charles, I hope I get to be your partner one day, it would be great to have first dibs on all the goodies! I stay in shape by actively pursuing opportunities to eat such staples as pastries and chocolate. Very Happy
In all seriousness, I like the thought of having plates only cause the FF do, and it would help put us in the public's mind a little more.
Possibly we could get permission to have our plates let us bypass the line up at the drive thru?
Once we have GPS, we'll need an official sounding name for TH's - I like the phonetic alphabet for that. ("Mark us off at Tango Hotel...")
